Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) will hold a free license plate replacement event on Thursday, September 4, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the South Whitehall Police Department, located at 4444 Walbert Ave. in Allentown.

Motorists in the area who have license plates that have lost reflectivity, are peeling, show blistering or discoloration, and cannot be read from 50 feet away may qualify for a free replacement plate. Law enforcement officers at the event will make the final decision on eligibility and help attendees complete the required paperwork.

After the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation receives and processes the paperwork, new license plates will be mailed directly to eligible motorists’ home addresses.

Individuals interested in attending can pre-register online for the event.
