Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) will hold a free license plate replacement event on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Hilltown Police Department at 13 West Creamery Rd. in Hilltown.
Motorists in the area who have license plates that are peeling, discolored, blistered, or no longer reflective and cannot be read from 50 feet away may qualify for a free replacement. Law enforcement officers at the event will review each plate and determine eligibility. They will also help attendees complete the necessary paperwork.
After the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation receives the completed forms, new plates will be mailed directly to motorists’ home addresses.
Individuals interested in participating can pre-register for the event.
