Senator Jarrett Coleman, a Pennsylvania state legislator, posted several statements on his social media account addressing both legislative issues and commemorative events.
On September 10, 2025, Senator Coleman criticized the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) in a post about proposed legislation. He wrote, “I will not let the PLCB bully our businesses. To learn more about SB241, visit https://t.co/8JhFYPv7bg https://t.co/npNMRXvMPB”.
The following day, on September 11, 2025, Senator Coleman marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. In his statement he said, “On this day 24 years ago, our country stood tall in the face of terror as civilians and first responders lost their lives in New York City, Washington D.C., and right here in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We will never forget. https://t.co/2xYkjPClQz”.
Later that same day, Senator Coleman posted about attending a memorial event with PA State Representative Craig Staats. He stated, “I was honored to stand with PA State Rep. Craig Staats at the American Legion Post 242 to pay our respects and remember the lives lost in Bucks County and across the country. https://t.co/Ypuo1shHST”.
The reference to SB241 is related to ongoing debates about reforming Pennsylvania’s liquor laws and potential changes to how alcohol sales are regulated by state agencies such as the PLCB. The PLCB has historically overseen all aspects of wine and spirits distribution within Pennsylvania.
September 11 is recognized nationally as Patriot Day to honor those who died during the terrorist attacks in 2001 in New York City; Washington D.C.; and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
