Sens. Jarrett Coleman and Nick Miller have announced that the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority will receive a $1.3 million state grant to support the construction of a new parking garage at Lehigh Valley International Airport. The grant is being provided through the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

Senator Coleman stated, “The Lehigh Valley International Airport is a major gateway to Pennsylvania, and the new parking garage is one more way the airport is preparing for continued growth. With more people visiting our commonwealth every year, this funding helps ensure the airport can meet that demand.”

Senator Miller added, “Today’s regional announcement invests more than one million dollars in a new parking garage directly connected to Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE). The airport has seen record-breaking numbers of passengers in the past two years, and this project will expand capacity, improve convenience for travelers, and ensure ABE is well-positioned to meet growing demand into the future.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund, managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, provides grants aimed at supporting economic development and maintaining reliable transportation systems across Pennsylvania.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority was created in 2004 as an independent agency responsible for administering Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus initiatives.

Senator Jarrett Coleman represents parts of Bucks and Lehigh counties in the 16th District and leads committees on intergovernmental operations and finance. He maintains offices in Harrisburg, Allentown, and Quakertown to assist constituents with services such as state agency support and legislative information. More details about his work can be found on his official website.

Coleman holds degrees in aeronautics and business administration and lives in the Lehigh Valley with his family.
