DeSales University issued the following announcement.
The DeSales University esports team earned its third straight win defeating Eastern University, 3-0 on Monday evening.
The Bulldogs dominated Eastern University with a decisive 3-0 victory on Monday, featuring two full defensive holds. On map 1, Nepal, EU fended off the Bulldogs to take Sanctum 100%-35%. DeSales was not to be outdone, however, and took Nepal - Shrine 100%-0%. They then nearly repeated the feat in the third round, Village, but EU managed to clutch out a fight and take control of the point. After finally re-taking the point, DeSales won Village 100%-51%, and thereby was up 1-0 going into map 2.
On map 2, Dorado, EU was unable to break DeSales' notorious double sniper composition, only pushing the payload 60.1m and failing to capture a single point. DeSales overcame the defense with ease, quickly heading into map 3 up 2-0.
On map 3, King's Row, DeSales put up a near flawless defense, even going so far as to repeatedly hold Eastern University at their spawn doors. A fatal misstep allowed EU to break out of their spawn. DeSales quickly pushed them back before they could capture a single point, maintaining the full hold. EU was unable to resist the onslaught and DeSales quickly obtained the necessary capture percentage on their offense to take the W, 3-0.
The Bulldogs are now in a tie for third place in the group standings heading into their match with Lebanon Valley College on Thursday evening.
