Lehigh Carbon Community College issued the following announcement.
Virtual
6 to 8 p.m.
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) and its Foundation will partner with Curious Goods at the Bake Oven Inn and Chef Mark Muszynski to host a Virtual Dinner Party event on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. Proceeds will benefit LCCC’s COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund, which helps students who have been impacted by the pandemic pay for tuition, books, food, child care and rent. Jerome Frank, Esq., of KingSpry, will serve as the honorary chair, celebrating 50 years as the college’s solicitor. Emcee for the evening is Joe Sibilia, executive producer of the Joe Piscopo Show in New York City. Sibilia graduated from LCCC in 2016 and from Hofstra University in 2018.
Chef Mark and Catherine Muszynski, owners of the Curious Goods in Germansville since 2007, honor tradition with an entirely farm-to-table menu and casual fine dining environment. Jointly, the college and the chef will bring a virtual dinner party and cooking demonstration to your home for a unique community event. A meal has been chosen by Chef Mark, and participants will follow along cooking at home, together.
The demonstration will be pre-recorded, and the chef will be available live near the end of the presentation to answer any questions and provide professional tips and information. The event will also highlight the college’s culinary program and students, as they cook alongside the chef.
The cost to participate is $200 per household (four meals), limited to 100 households. Registration includes the meal kit, provided by Curious Goods; the dessert, prepared by LCCC Culinary students; and one bottle of dessert wine, compliments of BoosRock Winery, Breinigsville. For an additional cost, Allium Floral of Bethlehem will provide the elements for participants to make their own floral arrangement or upon request, will provide an already completed centerpiece. BoosRock will also have additional bottles of wine available for pre-sale.
