LEHIGH CARBON COMMUNITY COLLEGE: LCCC Offers EMT Class in Schuylkill County

Lehigh Carbon Community College issued the following announcement.

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will partner with Lehigh Valley Health Network to offer an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program in Schuylkill County running Jan. 18 through May 17. Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at LCCC Tamaqua at the Morgan Center. 

The class is for individuals who are likely to respond to pre-hospital emergencies or those considering a medical career. Cost is $1,350 (text and gear included). Students must be at least 16 years of age. Upon successful completion, students 18 years or older will be eligible to test for the National Registry EMT credential.

Acceptance into the EMT program is selective and requires the submission of a physician release form and proof of medical insurance.
