Field Hockey Releases 2022 Schedule; Opens Season at King's (Pa.) on September 1

The Cedar Crest College field hockey team is set to open the 2022 season on Thursday, September 1 with a non-conference contest at King's College (Pa.), starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Falcons will open its home slate on September 3 when Gwynedd Mercy University visits the FalconPlex. Cedar Crest will hit the road for a non-conference contest at Stevenson University on September 5 before returning home to welcome in Eastern Mennonite University on September 11. Mid-September will feature a pair of road contests at Lebanon Valley College on September 15 and Delaware Valley University on September 17.

The Falcons will come back to Allentown for a three-game homestand beginning with a non-conference tilt against Centenary University (New Jersey) on September 22, followed by Wells College on September 24, before opening Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action against Keystone College on September 28.

The month of October features five home games, highlighted by a three-game homestand starting on October 5 against Wilkes University. Cedar Crest will also play host to Wilson College on October 8 and will conclude with Bryn Athyn College on October 11. Prior to the trio of home contests, the Falcons will travel to Notre Dame of Maryland University on October 1.

The back-half of October has Cedar Crest with a pair of home games in between two road contests. The Falcons will square off against Lancaster Bible College and Sweet Briar College on the road while the home games feature non-conference tilts against Drew University on October 20 and William Paterson University on October 26.

The Falcons, who were the third seed a year ago and made a run to the CSAC championship game, look to qualify for the 2022 CSAC Tournament that begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, November 2. The winners of the semifinal round will square off in the championship game scheduled for Saturday, November 5 at the home field of the highest remaining seed.
