Cost of college went up for all students at Muhlenberg College

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at Muhlenberg College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $52,595 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,765 more than the $50,830 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 91 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 498 students received grants or scholarships totaling $14.3 million and 311 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,340), 1,986 students used grants or scholarships totaling $53.5 million, and 1,179 students took out $7.5 million in federal student loans.
