LCCC Offers Orientation for Community Health Worker Course

Lehigh Carbon Community College issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) offers a Community Health Worker course that will help prepare students to become a liaison between healthcare agencies and communities while promoting health. Students learn how to provide guidance and social assistance, health education, advocacy, referral and follow-up services, and identify/assist individuals eligible for federal, state, and local health and human services programs. CPR/first aid/AED certification included. 

The following orientations are being held at no cost to students and are mandatory.

  • Monday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday Dec. 1, at 10 a.m.
