LCCC will host its 22nd Annual Lights On Afterschool Program

Lehigh Carbon Community College issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.

LCCC’s SHINE (Schools and Homes in Education) Afterschool Program, is a nationally recognized after-school program administered by Lehigh Carbon Community College. The program serves students from nine rural school districts in Carbon and Schuylkill counties covering 700+ square miles in Northeast Pennsylvania. Emphasis is on teaching children in science, technology, engineering, art and math.

 

Lights On Afterschool was launched nationwide in October 2000, and provides millions of children, who are alone and unsupervised after school, with programs that help working families keep their children safe and inspire learning.

A virtual event via Zoom will take place Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 5 p.m.
