Cedar Crest’s Perfect CSAC Regular Season Clinches Top Seed in Women’s Volleyball Tournament

Cedar Crest College Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 31.

The Cedar Crest College volleyball team completed a perfect 2021 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) to claim the top seed in the upcoming CSAC Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament.

The Falcons had an impressive season this year, winning eight of their nine conference matches with 3-0 sweeps. Overall, Cedar Crest has played to an 18-5 overall record.

Notre Dame of Maryland University will be the No. 2 seed in this year's bracket after compiling an 8-1 CSAC record (13-11 overall).

The quarterfinal matchups will occur on Tuesday, November 2. The first contest pins No. 3 seed Wilson College against No. 6 Bryn Athyn College while the other has No. 4 Cairn University playing host to No. 5 seed Saint Elizabeth University.

Cedar Crest and NDMU earn byes into the semifinal round. The Falcons will host the lowest remaining seed from the quarterfinal winners while the Gators will welcome in the other quarterfinal winner.

Both semifinal matches will take place on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m.

The two semifinal winners will advance into the 2021 CSAC Championship Match on Saturday, November 6. The winner of that match will be named the 2021 CSAC Women's Volleyball Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.

Quarterfinals – Tuesday, November 2

No. 6 Bryn Athyn at No. 3 Wilson

No. 5 Saint Elizabeth at No. 4 Cairn

Semifinals – Thursday, November 4

Lowest remaining seed at No. 1 Cedar Crest, 7:00 p.m.

Second-lowest remaining seed at No. 2 Notre Dame, 7:00 p.m.

Championship – Saturday, November 6
