Cedar Crest College Athletics issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
Cedar Crest College junior Jenna McDonald (Ovid, N.Y./South Seneca) was named Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the sport of women's basketball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
McDonald netted a team-high 19 points to go with five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a 70-55 conference win over Saint Elizabeth University on Saturday. She saw her first action of the season and shot 9-for-17 from the floor in 37 minutes.
McDonald, a guard, is the first Cedar Crest player to earn the distinction this season.
Cedar Crest (2-7 overall, 1-5 CSAC) will next play at Clarks Summit University on Tuesday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m.
