Cedar Crest College Athletics issued the following announcement on Mar. 28.
Freshman Tiffany Kuras (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) and junior Kiley Marone (Mohrsville, Pa. /Tulpehocken) of the Cedar Crest College track & field team were both recognized by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) in the first edition of the weekly awards of the season on Monday afternoon.
Kuras had an impressive debut for the Falcons at the Monarch Invitational, hosted by King's College (Pa.). She threw a qualifying mark for the AARTFC Championship Meet in the javelin with a distance of 35.84 meters, placing fourth.
Marone registered a top-10 finish in the 800-meter run at the Monarch Invitational, finishing ninth with a program record time of 2:42.19.
The track & field team will next compete in the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday, April 2.
