Lehigh Carbon Community College issued the following announcement on May 6.

Students who would like to get a head start on their college education can have the option to sign up for three different summer sessions at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC). Two five-week sessions and one 10-week session are open to continuing and new LCCC students. Many students use the credits they earn in the summer to get ahead in their degree program, get a head start or use them to transfer to a university. Sign up now for any of the following summer sessions:

·        First five-week option: May 16 to June 22

·        10-week option: May 16 to August 4

·        Second five-week option: July 5 to August 10

Classes are offered online and face-to-face at campuses in Schnecksville, Allentown and Tamaqua. Students can take courses in art, accounting, astronomy, nursing, biology, anatomy and physiology, business, chemistry, computers, criminal justice, economics, education, English, languages, geography, history, math, music, philosophy, physics, psychology, sociology and more.

Tuition and fees are $180 per credit for students from one of LCCC’s sponsoring school districts and $321 per credit for other Pennsylvania residents. Schuylkill County residents pay $255 a credit, and out-of-state or foreign students pay $462 a credit. Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.
