Students interested in a career as a heating, air conditioning or refrigeration technician have an opportunity to take coursework at Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Tamaqua campus, which will begin offering courses this fall in basic electricity, construction print reading and heating systems.
Students will be able to take selective courses at the Tamaqua site, and courses in refrigeration, advanced electrical and other higher level classes at the main campus in Schnecksville. Offering a range of courses at Tamaqua increases the convenience for students who live in the Northern Tier.
Heating systems will also be offered at the Tamaqua site in the spring 2023 semester.
Students can earn a certificate in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (HVACR) that can be completed in as little as 12 months, or an associate in applied science degree that can be completed in two years. Classes are offered in the day or evening, allowing students the flexibility to take classes no matter what their work schedule responsibilities are.
