Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh) announced today the allocation of over $44,000 in state funding for municipal projects and purchases within the 187th Legislative District. Mackenzie was instrumental in securing these Local Share Account (LSA) grants.

"An important part of my job is to bring state funding back home, and these grants are another example of that," said Mackenzie. "This funding is going toward public safety and infrastructure improvements that will benefit the residents of those municipalities."

The local grants include:

- Alburtis Borough: $11,101 towards the purchase of two police cars.

- Alburtis Borough: $11,102 towards the purchase of body and car cameras for the police department.

- Weisenberg Township: $22,203 towards construction of a maintenance building for the public works department.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved and awarded these grants. The authority operates as an independent agency responsible for managing programs and investments aimed at Pennsylvania's economic growth. LSA grants are funded through gaming revenues.
