Lehigh Carbon Community College issued the following announcement on Mar. 31.
Students from Tamaqua, Jim Thorpe, Panther Valley and the Northern Tier will have the opportunity to learn more about programs and services at Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Tamaqua site in an admissions information session scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 4. The session will be held in rooms 104/105 of the Morgan Center and will include a tour of the Morgan Center and the Scheller Center buildings, including the newly renovated Nursing simulation lab.
The information session will cover all that LCCC Tamaqua has to offer. The session will be led by members of the Admissions team and will include a brief overview of academics, student support services, athletics and financial aid. At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity for a brief question and answer period.
The session will also highlight aspects of LCCC’s Morgan Scholarship, which is offered specifically to Tamaqua Area High School graduates who seek to continue their education at LCCC and beyond.
Participants will tour the facility, as well as a walk-through of the state-of-the-art nursing, chemistry and biology labs. The information session and tour will take approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.
