Released from prison in the summer of 2019 after a 13-year sentence, LCCC alumni Jose Rivera is taking his own steps to rebuild a community that he helped break. “Every time I got incarcerated I lost everything,” said Rivera. “When I came to LCCC I gained one thing nobody can ever take away from me, and that’s knowledge. Knowledge is power.”
