Graduate student Ashley Whittaker (Huntersville, N.C.) and senior Lauren Makely (Lake Grove, N.Y.) of the Cedar Crest College soccer team were honored by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) in the release of its weekly awards on Monday afternoon.
Whittaker earned CSAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after having an 11-point week in two wins for the Falcons. She had a goal and an assist in a 9-0 win at Valley Forge and finished with a hat trick and two assists against Saint Elizabeth.
Makely received another Honorable Mention nod after she recorded her fourth shutout in goal for the Falcons as Cedar Crest defeated Saint Elizabeth, 8-0. The senior made one save in the win.
Cedar Crest (11-3-2 overall, 8-0-1 CSAC) earned the No. 1 seed for the CSAC Championship Tournament and will host a semifinal match on Wednesday, November 2 at 6:00 p.m. The Falcons will welcome in the lowest-remaining seed from the quarterfinal winners.
