Marone Named Co-Player of the Year; Eight From Field Hockey Collect All-Conference Honors

The Cedar Crest College field hockey team had seven student-athletes honored in the release of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) All-Conference teams, as announced on Tuesday morning.

Senior Kiley Marone (Mohrsville, Pa./Tulpehocken) was named as the CSAC Co-Player of the Year. She played in 16 games, making 15 starts. Marone finished the season with a league-high 51 points on 23 goals and five assists. She set the program record for goals scored in a career with 51 and her 23 goals this season set a single-season program record. Marone also earned a First Team All-Conference nod.

Joining Marone on the First Team were classmates Amber Cieri (Slatington, Pa. Northern Lehigh) and Morgan Frantz (Brodheadsville, Pa./Pleasant Valley).
 
Cieri appeared in 16 contests, starting in 12 of them. She ranked third on the team in points with 17 on seven goals and three assists.

Frantz played in 16 games and recorded 11 points on five goals and one assist en route to her First Team nod.

Junior Adriana Hinkle (Palmerton, Pa. Homeschooled (played for Lehighton)), along with seniors Emily Demarest (Vernon, N.J. Vernon Township) and Alexandra Infante (Stowe, Vt./Stowe) were the Falcons' representatives on the Second Team.

Hinkle saw time in 16 games, starting in 12 of them. She ranked second on the team with 24 points on 10 goals and four assists.

Demarest registered six points on one goal and four assists in 16 games this season, playing over 800 minutes.

Infante earns Second Team honors after appearing in 14 games, starting in all of them. She led the team with four defensive saves and had one assist.

Sophomore Ashley Large (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit) was the Falcons' lone Honorable Mention selection as a defender. She appeared in 16 games and registered one defensive save.

Rounding out the selections for Cedar Crest was senior Alexis Hertzog (Allentown, Pa./Catasauqua) on the All-Sportsmanship Team. She played in all 17 games, making 16 starts and playing over 800 minutes.

The Falcons finished the season with an 8-9 overall record (4-2 CSAC).
