The Cedar Crest College wrestling team took part in the Ursinus College Women's Wrestling Scramble on Sunday afternoon, which featured student-athletes from Alvernia, Delaware Valley, and Ursinus.
First-year Ellie Terranova (Wilmington, Del./Mount Pleasant) went 1-2 on the afternoon at 191. She earned her win over Ursinus College Grace Harris via fall 1:45 into the match.
She was then defeated by Alvernia Gianna Faura by fall in 2:35. The first-year then was defeated by Delaware Valley's Caria Jaynes by fall 1:40 into the match.
First-year Draydon Charman (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) began the day with a win via technical fall over Delaware Valley's Gigi Lee at 155. Charman was then defeated by Alvernia's Mia Bumbarger via technical fall and then earned a victory over Ursinus' Riley Frymoyer by injury default.
First-year Adriana Dias (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) was defeated by technical fall in her two matches at by Taylor Bloom of Alvernia at 109 and Ursinus' Jocelyn Lass at 1:16.
First-year Brooke Holley (Elkton, Md./Elkton) rounded out the participants for the Falcons at 123. She was defeated twice via fall and then won by injury default over Ursinus' Lauren Gherman.
Cedar Crest will return to the mat on Sunday, January 8 at East Stroudsburg University at noon.
